NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 15 – Government Spokesman Isaac Mwaura says 150 million trees were planted on Monday.
Speaking during his inaugural press conference on Monday, Mwaura indicated that 10.7 million trees have been listed in the Jaza Miti Portal.
While commending Kenyans for their efforts during the initiative, he encouraged them to declare the trees they had planted for accurate records.
“The Kenya Kwanza administration targets to plant 15 billion trees in a span of ten years for landscape and ecosystem restoration in the country,” he stated.
