
NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 26- Detectives from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) have arrested two Nairobi Members of the County Assembly for allegedly demanding for Sh1 million bribe.
The two MCAs David Mberi of Langata, Karen Ward and Jared Okoth of Mathare ward are being held at EACC.
According to EACC statement posted on their twitter handle , MCA Abraham Mwangi from Kenyatta Golf Course Ward escaped arrest and he is now being sought by police.
The three MCAs are members of the Culture and Social Services Committee who are said to have demanded for a 1 million bribe in order to make a “favorable” report to the Assembly, to counter initial allegation they had made to the County Assembly that a private school in Eastleigh was illegal.
