NAIROBI, Kenya, June 22 – Airtel Kenya will expand its network coverage countrywide by adding additional 649 new sites.
The telco says it will be putting up 349 network sites this year followed by an extra 300, which is on the pipeline.
It is part of the firm goal to enhance connectivity besides improving network service quality.

Due to poor 5G networks in some areas, the telecommunication says it will deploy cutting-edge technologies as well as innovations to enhance connectivity, improve service quality, among others.
Some of the solutions include the deployment of LTE on the 2600Mhz band for capacity expansion and future 5G rollout, launch of VOLTE and Esim and the introduction of small cell/street solutions in densely populated areas such as in the Eastland areas.
