NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 14 – Bolt has announced a Sh14 billion investment over the next three years to improve platform safety and increase awareness of its safety features.
Linda Ndungu, Bolt’s General Manager, stated that the funds will support a team of 500 specialists focused on proactive safety measures, timely case handling, and educational campaigns to promote in-app safety features.
“At Bolt, safety is a priority, and our Sh14 billion commitment reflects an end-to-end approach to safety across our Kenyan operations,” she said. “The Bolt Safety Team, with over 500 specialists globally, will concentrate on product enhancements, support, and preventive measures.”
Bolt plans to upgrade existing safety features, like Ride Check, which detects unexpected route changes or delays, and will introduce new trip verification features to strengthen trust between drivers and riders.
