NAIROBI, Kenya Sep 11 – Li Xi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, delivered a speech at the G77 plus China Summit in Havana, emphasizing China’s commitment to South-South cooperation. He expressed China’s readiness to work with G77 members to strengthen solidarity and foster common development.
Li highlighted the challenges of unilateralism and hegemonism, stressing the importance of enhancing cooperation among developing countries for more just and equitable global governance.
He proposed a three-point plan for cooperation between the G77 and China, focusing on unity, equity, justice, and inclusiveness, along with fostering new drivers of development in areas like food security, poverty alleviation, and digital technology.
Li affirmed China’s dedication to South-South cooperation and its role as a member of the Global South.
