NAIROBI, Kenya Jan 29 – Chief Justice Martha Koome has urged Kenyans to engage with the Judiciary as it seeks public views on how to improve online court services.
Speaking ahead of the Judiciary Dialogue Day scheduled for Friday, January 30, 2026, CJ Koome said public feedback will play a key role in shaping how courts handle cases and deliver justice.
“I encourage you all to come out and engage openly and constructively with us during the dialogue day,” she said. “We will collate all the views and bring them to bear in the way we process cases that come before us.”
The Chief Justice said the Judiciary wants to work closely with Kenyans to build courts that reflect the country’s aspirations.
“Together, as partners in justice, we can strengthen our courts and build a judiciary that reflects the aspirations of us Kenyans,” she added, urging the public to participate through their nearest court stations or online platforms.
The dialogue, dubbed “Bonga na Judiciary”, will be hosted by the Office of the Registrar Automation (ORA) and will focus on the Judiciary’s digital services, including e-filing systems and online cause lists.
Kenyans taking part in the virtual session will be invited to share their experiences, including what works well on Judiciary online platforms, what does not, and the challenges they face when using digital court services.
Participants will also be asked to suggest ways to make e-filing and cause lists faster, simpler, and more user-friendly.
The dialogue will take place virtually from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Members of the public can join the session online and submit their views directly to Judiciary officials.
According to the Judiciary, the feedback collected during the dialogue will be used to guide improvements to digital services as part of efforts to enhance access to justice.
