NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 25 – The 3rd Northern Kenya Impact Investment Conference, focusing on economic growth across 10 counties, will be held from October 29 to 30, 2024, in Nairobi.
Organized by USAID Kuza, this event aims to connect local enterprises with potential investors to drive sustainable economic development and resilience across Garissa, Isiolo, Lamu, Mandera, Marsabit, Samburu, Tana River, Turkana, Wajir, and West Pokot.
Under the theme, “Unveiling Opportunities: Redefining Northern Kenya as an Investable Destination,” the two-day conference will highlight strategies to attract investments and explore initiatives that promote economic growth and sustainability in Northern Kenya.
The forum will serve as a hub for key stakeholders to discuss the region’s investment potential and foster an environment conducive to expanding businesses in the area, which represents approximately 65% of Kenya’s landmass.
The conference will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders, including Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), investors, financial institutions, development agencies, and government officials focused on Northern Kenya.
Participants will engage in sessions showcasing investment-ready opportunities and discussions on economic development, climate resilience, digital innovation, and sustainable agriculture.
USAID Kuza, dedicated to creating economic opportunities in Kenya, has been providing technical assistance to MSMEs and county governments. This support includes training on presenting effective “elevator pitches” covering business strategies, expansion plans, partnership opportunities, and funding needs.
The Northern Kenya Impact Investment Conference is set to spotlight the region as a destination ripe for impact-driven investments, advancing local enterprises and boosting long-term economic development in Kenya’s northern counties.
