Court to rule on Kirima land ownership in April

NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 30 – The Environment and Land Court (ELC) will make a ruling on the ownership of the Kirima Land in April 18.

Justice Lucy Mbugua reserved a ruling after parties to the suit properties submitted their documents regarding the disputed land.

The position taken by Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino is that the late Dominico Demasi never sold the suit property to Girishon Kirima.

The MP indicated that the late Demasi was not made party to the judgment delivered by the High Court in which the court ordered the residents to move out.

He said that both residents of Embakasi and Kasarani Constituencies should not enter into any agreement or make payments to the administrators of Kirima family until the court delivers its judgment.

The matter before the court is completely a new application filed between November 2 and 11 seeking the court to determine the ownership of the land.
