NAIROBI, Kenya Jun 23 – Luno, a global cryptocurrency investment platform founded in Africa, has re-entered the Kenyan market, a few years back after leaving the market.

The re-launch introduces a user-friendly, secure, and fully compliant platform for Kenyans to buy, sell, and hold crypto currencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT.

Apollo Sande, the Country Manager for Luno Kenya, Kenya remains one of Africa’s most vibrant crypto markets, powered by a tech-savvy population that values secure and simple financial tools.

“We’re excited to officially relaunch in the Kenyan market with a full suite of crypto trading services tailored for both individual investors and institutional users. Kenya is one of the most dynamic crypto markets in Africa, with a highly informed, tech-savvy population,” Sande stated.

Sande noted that Kenyans can now trade crypto directly using Kenyan Shillings through live pairs such as BTC/KES, ETH/KES, USDT/KES, and USDC/KeS.

Global trading pairs including BTC/USDT are also available, supporting both local investment and international arbitrage opportunities.

“The cryptocurrency investment platform enables instant buy and sell of cryptocurrencies with zero commission. Additionally, users can earn rewards by referring others to the platform and remaining active,” he added.

Having previously operated in Kenya between 2013 and 2014 under the name BitX, Luno has maintained a strong focus on regulatory compliance and safety.

With over 12 years of experience and a presence in more than 40 countries the platform has never experienced a security breach since its inception and is trusted by over 15 million users worldwide.

As Kenya moves closer to finalizing its regulatory framework for digital assets, Luno is positioning itself as a trusted ally in supporting responsible crypto adoption while addressing risks to consumers posed by P2P platforms such as fraudulent counterparties, execution delays, regulatory uncertainty and poor accountability.

The Luno app is available on iOS, Android, and via the web, offering integrated mobile money services for deposits and withdrawals, real-time trading in KES, localized customer support, and a range of educational resources.

With its re-entry into Kenya, Luno aims to contribute to financial inclusion and innovation by simplifying access to digital assets.
