NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 31 – British multi-national Diageo has appointed Anne Michira as the new Director of Marketing and Innovations for South, West, and Central (SWC) Africa.
Michira joins the outfit from East African Breweries Limited (EABL), where she served in the same role for East Africa.
From April 1, 2024, she will be based in London and report to John Musunga, a Kenyan who was also appointed last November to head the newly established SWC Africa business unit.
It comprises two regions covering Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean and West and Central Africa, including businesses in Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Ethiopia, South Africa, and the Seychelles, among others.
“Anne Joy has been instrumental in growing and building some of our biggest brands in East Africa,” Kenya Breweries Limited Managing Director Mark Ocitti said.
“Her work leading collaboration and partnership across East Africa has been phenomenal and we are sure she will take the same spirit to her new role.”
