Eldohub to host inaugural Eldoret City Investors Forum

ELDORET, Kenya, Nov 29 – Eldohub is set to launch the first-ever Eldoret City Investors Forum, positioning Eldoret as a premier destination for investment and innovation.

The event, organized in partnership with the UK Kenya Tech Hub and the British High Commission, will bring together investors, entrepreneurs, tech enthusiasts, and key stakeholders to explore opportunities, showcase innovations, and foster collaborations for regional economic growth.

Eldohub, an education, innovation, and technology organization, focuses on empowering youth and women to capitalize on ICT opportunities while bridging Africa’s job market skills gap.

Ahead of the forum, participants will engage in a unique Tech Run, celebrating Eldoret’s athletic legacy while spotlighting its growing tech landscape. This event symbolizes the synergy between athletic excellence and technological progress in the city.

“Kenya is synonymous with long-distance running and burgeoning tech,” said Magdaline Chepkemoi, Eldohub CEO and Founder.

“Building a successful business is like running a marathon—requiring patience, endurance, and long-term commitment. Unfortunately, these values are often underutilized in fostering sustainable businesses. This forum aims to shift that mindset.”

Under the theme “Bridging Athletics, Innovation, and Investment,” the forum seeks to tap into Eldoret’s athletic heritage to attract investment and establish the city as a tech innovation hub.

“We aim to connect sports and technology, leveraging Eldoret’s rich athletic legacy to draw attention to its growing tech ecosystem,” said Enos Masinde, Country Director, UK Kenya Tech Hub.

A key highlight of the event will be the launch of the Eldoret City Investor Platform, a digital initiative modeled after the Nairobi Business Angel Network. This platform will provide investors with crucial insights and connections to opportunities in the region.

“Stakeholders from county and national governments, business leaders, key partners, and celebrated athletes will convene to address challenges and opportunities shaping Eldoret. The goal is to position Eldoret as a major hub for investment and sports technology development,” said Jack Tuwei, President of Athletics Kenya.
