NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 28 – An employee of Family bank has been charged for stealing Sh66.9 million from the bank.
The accused Elias Kinyua Njue stole the money by the virtue of his employment in the bank
The accused who appeared before senior principal magistrate Ben Mark Ikhubi denied the criminal charge and was released on a cash bail of Sh1 million with alternative bond of Sh5 million.
The accused according to the prosecution is said to have committed the offence on 3rd August 2023.
The trial magistrate directed the prosecution to supply all documentary evidence to the accused and set the matter for mention on November 2 for pre- trial.
