NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 10 – An Unscrupulous farmer has been charged for fraudulently obtaining fertilizers valued at Sh21.5 million.
The accused Benjamin Mosbey Kuto appeared Milimani Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina, where he denied the criminal charge.
According to the prosecution, the accused visited several cereals boards in between the month of July and October 2023 where he placed information that he had huge chunks of lands in which he wanted to carry out farming.
The accused said the land in question was 1050acres and was subsequently supplied with fertilizer by giving false information.
The suspect was ordered to appear to court tomorrow for bail application.
