NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 14 — Hong Kong-based energy solutions provider Neosun Energy has announced its entry into the Kenyan market, marking a significant step towards providing sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions for Africa’s commercial and industrial sectors.

Neosun plans to offer tailored solar power solutions to businesses in need of reliable and affordable energy, with system capacities ranging from 200 kW to 10 MW.

Kenya has emerged as a renewable energy leader in Africa, with over 80 percent of its power demand met through green energy sources.

Neosun aims to address persistent energy challenges in the country, particularly in remote areas where businesses face unreliable power supplies and high energy costs.

With millions of people in sub-Saharan Africa lacking access to reliable electricity, the demand for alternative energy solutions has never been more critical.

Neosun’s entry is expected to empower businesses in agriculture, manufacturing, warehousing, and industrial sectors by providing affordable and sustainable energy solutions that reduce operational costs, improve reliability, and boost productivity.

Ilya Likhov, CEO of Neosun Energy, underscored the company’s commitment to supporting local businesses in transitioning to renewable energy.

“The mission of Neosun Energy is to provide companies with affordable and accessible solar energy. Considering the Kenyan government’s move away from fossil fuels, we believe solar energy, along with energy storage systems, will enable local businesses to accelerate this transition while increasing profitability,” he said.

Neosun’s solar photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage solutions are designed to ensure a reliable power supply, enhancing business efficiency and contributing to economic growth.

Beyond business benefits, Neosun’s expansion into Kenya is expected to have a transformative impact on off-grid communities, offering opportunities for development and entrepreneurship through solar energy.
