NAIROBI, Kenya July 28- I&M Bank has launched a solution that allows its customers to transact seamlessly in Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania through a single account.

The strategy named I&M BRISK allows I&M customers to access real-time withdrawals, deposits and funds transfers at any of its branches in the three countries using their existing accounts.

The BRISK solution is set to benefit its customers who have cross-border regional import or export transactions and to those who travel frequently for business within the region.

I&M Bank Kenya CEO Kihara Maina said the bank wants to re-define regional banking by offering its customers a borderless banking experience that allows them to manage their finances whenever and wherever they want.

“BRISK provides our customers with one convenient account that caters to all their transactional needs across the Region. Whenever our customers move within the three countries, they will not need to open a new account, they just take their existing account with them,” he said.

Maina said that the Group’s corporate strategy, dubbed iMara 2.0, seeks to leverage on synergies across the Group’s entities to deliver solutions that meet customers’ personal or business requirements across the region.

In time, the same service will be extended to Uganda and Mauritius where the Group has a presence.

I&M BRISK is an addition to the Bank’s robust digital offerings and will support the Bank’s business growth initiatives by ensuring that the Bank simplifies banking for its customers across the Eastern Africa region.
