NAIROBI, Kenya, March 9 – Local vehicle assembler Isuzu East Africa will roll out the sales of a special edition of their brand, the Dmax that will be named after 2022 Berlin marathon winner Eliud Kipchoge.
The truck will only be available in one hundred and fifty-nine (159) units.
Isuzu confirmed to Capital Business that the trucks will be available for purchase soon.
“We have the Eliud Kipchoge 1:59 Limited special D-max Edition that Isuzu introduced to the market to honor Eliud Kipchoge’s win for the 2022 Berlin marathon,” the company said in a response to Capital FM on Twitter.
Isuzu further informed Capital FM that the one hundred and fifty-nine units will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, adding that they will all have the original signature of Kipchoge engraved on them.
The long-distance world champion runner, Kipchoge, is the official brand ambassador for the Isuzu company in Kenya.
The 159 name is inspired by Kipchoge’s record-breaking victory in the INEOS marathon in Berlin, Germany.
