J-Lo signs on again with Idols

August 18, 2011 – Fox announced on Wednesday that newly single J-Lo, Jennifer Lopez, will be returning to judge the upcoming 11th season of “American Idol,” joining Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson.

J-Lo will reportedly receive a pay rise from USD $12 million to $20 million, nearly doubling her salary.

It seems that J-Lo’s sweet, sympathetic and genuine approach to criticism has clearly struck a chord with the audience considering when the 10th season of “American Idol wrapped in May its ratings were much stronger than expected.

Most had lost hope with the show and had predicted the inevitable demise of the decade-long “American Idol” era.  However, critics have praised J-Lo and Steven Tyler for reinvigorating the show.

I guess we can expect another hit J-Lo single premiering on the 11th season of “American Idol!”
