NAIROBI, Kenya, April 18 – The Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) Tusker Festivals have impacted local economies by providing local vendors with opportunities.

According to Tusker Brand Senior Manager Catherine Twesigye, the festivals held in different counties have generated employment opportunities for locals through providing services.

“Tusker Fest Eldoret edition also had a positive impact on the local economy, providing opportunities for local vendors to sell their products and generating employment opportunities for locals through providing services,” she said.

The Tusker Fest kicked off in Kisumu on the 1st of April, with subsequent stops in Meru, Eldoret, Nairobi, and Mombasa on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th of April, respectively.

Tusker Fest, courtesy of KBL’s Tusker brand, is a celebration of Kenyan culture through music and food and a platform for emerging artists to explore their talent and shine.

“We are proud to have provided a platform for some of Kenya’s most talented and exciting up-and-coming artists to showcase their talent at Tusker Fest Eldoret edition,” said Twesigye.

“This event is part of our commitment to supporting the development of Kenyan music and creatives,” he added.

Through a report by the Macro-Fiscal Analytic Snapshot 2022–2023 study, which the Institute of Public Finance (IPF) and Oxford Policy Management (OPM) jointly released, Kenya’s economy is predicted to grow at a projected five percent in 2023.
