NAIROBI, Kenya, July 29 – Sakwa Bunyasi has officially taken over as Chairman of the Kenya Development Corporation (KDC) Board.
Bunyasi said he will work with the board to ensure the organisation achieves its mandates.
“I am deeply honoured to assume the role of the Chairman of the Board at KDC, I look forward to working closely with the board members and the dedicated team at the Corporation to ensure we achieve our objectives and help the Country’s growth in manufacturing, increase exports and attract foreign direct investments,“ the former legislator said.
Similarly, Norah Ratemo is now the corporation’s new Director General.
Ratemo boasts over 15 years of experience in credit risk management, having formerly worked in various institutions including Eco Bank Kenya, Sidian Bank, and the Tourism Finance Corporation.
She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a Finance Option from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and a Bachelor of Commerce with an Accounting Option.
Also appointed are members of the board, including Faith Mwaura, Sigee Koech, Caroline Muigai, and Mr. Benjamin Muketha.
“We have an opportunity to build a world class organization that is fit for purpose to support the Government on Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda in partnership with various developmental partners and our Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry and KDC Board,” she stated.
KDC said that the duo will transform cooperation owing to their immense expertise and experience in the field.
