NAIROBI, Kenya, July 6 – ICT firm Logitech has announced the roll out of new devices into the market, that incorporate the use of sustainable designs and materials to reduce the level of carbon foot print left behind while using them.
In a statement released to newsrooms, the firm, which specializes in the creation of computing, music, gaming and streaming devices, noted that it is transitioning to more circular materials and looking for new ways to reduce waste and extend the life of products.
“Creating a better future for our planet and society requires a different approach to solving big challenges without creating new ones,” noted the firm.
The product designs also focus on not just the function of the devices, but also the experience users have while interacting with them. One of its products for instance, the Logitech Pebble M350 Wireless Mouse, is portable, and can be connected to the computer either via Bluetooth or USB receiver.
The mouse goes into a battery-saving sleep mode when not in use, keeping it powered for up to 18 months. Its extra slim, compact design makes it easy to carry in a pocket or a bag.
It has a smooth organic shape and a silent clicking and scrolling feature which helps the user to stay focused without disturbing those around them.
