Opposition Leaders Set August 24–26 Retreat to Chart Way Forward

NAIROBI, Kenya Aug 17 – The electoral environment and alleged State intimidation are set to take centre stage when Azimio-leaning opposition leaders meet for a three-day retreat from August 24 to 26.

Jubilee Party Deputy Leader Fred Matiangi The leaders are expected to assess the political landscape ahead of the 2027 General Election and examine what they consider challenges to free and fair political competition.

“We are having an opposition retreat on 24th and 25th of of this month. Of course, we are going to discuss the electoral environment and what we need to do as we go forward.”

“We are going to try to reach as many Kenyans as possible within the leadership and decision-m community. The focus being my brothers and sisters, do you actually think this is the way we should run our country? Do you think this is the way we should manage our country?” he posed.
