On Saturday, August 31st, Naiposha Gardens became the ultimate escape, a picturesque paradise where R&B classics met the serene beauty of Tigoni. On the beautiful greenery and bathed in golden sunlight, Rhythm & Brunch, in collaboration with Eatout Kenya, hosted an afternoon that transcended time and took guests back to the 90s and 2000s – the golden age of R&B- when music was music.

Smooth jams from Babyface, TLC, to Destiny’s Child, Aaliyah, Usher, and B2K and so much more, flowed effortlessly through the air as the 2000 plus crowd, a stunning mix of stylish millennials, swayed to the beat. It wasn’t just music; it was magic. The garden was alive with the sound of sing-alongs to iconic throwbacks, and every moment felt like a revival of an era that shaped an entire generation. From the opening notes to the final track, it was pure nostalgia. The carefully curated playlist, with fan favorites and timeless hits, transported everyone back to their childhoods, a time when music defined us.

The beautiful crowd, relaxed, enjoyed more than just music – brunch bites and refreshing cocktails added to the indulgent atmosphere. As the sun dipped lower, the lakeside views only enhanced the experience, making it feel like a scene from an unforgettable dream. Rhythm & Brunch isn’t just redefining the party scene in Africa; it’s breathing new life into it, offering a much-needed retreat for millennials who’ve grown tired of the usual night out.

For those lucky enough to be there, it was a celebration of the era, the sound, and the culture we grew up on. In the words of Destiny’s Child, “We don’t think you’re ready for this jelly” – and indeed, no one was quite ready for the magic that unfolded at Naiposha Gardens.
