Snoop Dogg finally gets a Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
American rapper, singer, songwriter, TV personality and actor Snoop Dogg is being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will honor Uncle Snoop with his star on November 19th, 2018. He will be receiving the 2,651st star and is being recognized in the recording category.
Since 1993, Snoop has released 17 studio albums, sold over 35 million albums worldwide, reached No. 1 on Billboard charts, and received nearly 20 Grammy nominations. His debut studio album, “Doggystyle,” launched at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold over 800,000 copies in the first week.
Snoop who is huge on social media and is a timeless figure in the music industry has over the years had his hands in various music genres such Rap, Reggae and even Gospel for which he has been nominated in the 2018 Soul Train Awards.
Popular TV show host Jimmy Kimmel will be present to honor Snoop during his Jimmy Kimmel Live show.
Snoop is currently in the works of developing his own biopic with the help of “Star” producer Lee Daniels and Black Panther filmmaker Ryan Coogler. He has also been on the road in his stage play, “Redemption of a Dogg.”
