NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 25 – Safaricom PLC has appointed Cynthia Karuri-Kropac as Chief Enterprise Business Officer effective September 1.
Karuri replaces Joseph Wanjohi who has been serving in an acting capacity since May.
Wanjohi took over as interim Chief Enterprise Business Officer in May after the position fell vacant following the exit of Kris Senanu barely one year after joining the telco.
Prior to her appointment, Karuri served as the Senior Director, Enterprise Mobile and IoT Technologies, a position she held since 2019.
She boasts an experience of over 20 years in the telecommunication sector with rich knowledge in Business Strategy, Industrial IoT, Enterprise Technology Solutions, Executive Advisory & Decision Support and Operational Excellence & Process Reengineering.
Karuri holds a Bachelor in Finance from The University Of Toledo and a Masters in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and Financial Management Service from Kent State University.
