NAIROBI, Kenya Sep 28 – Smart Applications International, a healthcare ICT solutions provider, has highlighted the need for healthcare players to adopt digital health solutions, which provide the necessary foundation for the fulfilment of universal healthcare.
The tech platform, which recently hosted the Kenya Medical Services Providers webinar, noted that technology is crucial in transforming the nation’s healthcare sector in line with the government’s Digital Transformation Agenda.
The event hosted in Nairobi was attended by over 1,600 participants and representatives from 900 hospitals across the country.
The session showcased a comprehensive range of healthcare technology solutions designed to drive seamless digitalisation in the healthcare industry.

The government has made notable progress in improving healthcare access and outcomes despite facing significant challenges.
The majority of Kenyans still face barriers such as long wait times, limited availability of specialists, slow settlement periods from payers, and inefficient systems.
