NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 18 – Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Company, Unilever has been certified as a top employer in Kenya by the Top Employers Institute for the seventh time.

Unilever toped in the food and beverages manufacturing industry, followed by Nestle Kenya Limited among others.

Other firms listed among the top 100 employers include DHL Express Kenya, Safaricom, Absa Bank, Cytonn, and TransUnion.

Speaking on the Award, Unilever Kenya’s Managing Director, Luck Ochieng said the company’s goal is to create a favorable environment of mutual trust and respect for their employees to enable them to exploit their best potential in the company.

The top employer in Africa certification is awarded by the Top Employers Institute, which conducts an annual international audit of leading employers worldwide.

The Dutch research firm assesses participating companies in nine key areas: talent strategy, workforce planning, on-boarding, learning, and development, performance management, leadership development, career and succession management, compensation and benefits, and culture.
