KISUMU, Kenya, Feb 22 – Tragedy struck early Thursday in Kisumu County as two boda boda riders lost their lives in a collision with a Subaru vehicle leading to violent chaos.
In the aftermath of the incident, fellow riders set the vehicle ablaze before police intervened to calm the situation.
Police say the driver of the Subaru, sustained minor injuries and was rushed to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital.
The incident follows Wednesday’s accident on the Kisumu-Homa Bay road, where five people lost their lives in a matatu-lorry collision.
Among the casualties were four male adults, including the matatu driver, and one female passenger.
