NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 5 – Cabinet Secretaries and other senior ranking officials of the Executive have arrived at the Fairmont Mt Kenya Safari Club for a three-day retreat.
In a statement, State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohammed said President William Ruto convened the retreat in order to crystallize the implementation programme of the Administration’s Plan for this year.
“The retreat between 5th-8th January will crystallize the implementation programme of the Administration’s Plan for the Year 2023,” he wrote on his twitter handle.
The agenda is to adopt the government’s economic transformation plan that focuses on the administration’s priority areas such as food security, implementation of the Hustler Fund and Universal Health care among others.
Foreign Affair Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua, Water and Sanitation Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome, Lands and Physical Planning Principal Secretary Nixon Korir are among leaders present for the Cabinet retreat in Nanyuki.
Others who have arrived include their Agriculture, Lands, Environment and East Africa Legislative Counterparts Mithika Linturi, Zachariah Njeru, Soipan Tuya and Rebecca Miano respectively.
Attorney General Justin Muturi, Former Chief Justice David Maraga who also doubles up as the Chairperson of the Police Reforms Taskforce and Chairperson of the Public Service Commission (PSC) Anthony Muchiri are also in attendance.
More officials are expected to arrive in the course of the day.
The retreat which will be concluded on Sunday will officially be opened by President William Ruto.
