NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 17 – President William Ruto has appointed former Wajir Senator Abdillahi Ibrahim to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI).
According to the gazette notice, Ibrahim will serve in the position for a period of three years.
At the same time the President revoked the appointment of Mbinda Daniel Musyoka.
President Ruto also appointed politician Alfred Khang’ati to the Chair Board of Directors of Nzoia Sugar Company.
Khang’ati vied for the Kanduyi parliamentary seat on a ODM in the last General Elections but lost to John Wanyama of Ford- Kenya.
He will also serve for 3 years.
Also appointed is Samson Kipckoech Some who will now be the chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Tourism Fund Board, for a period of 3 years.
