NAIROBI, Kenya Apr 19 – Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has ordered the removal of barriers at the building that hosted the Hilton Hotel at Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD).
Governor Sakaja issued the orders Monday during a meet-the-people tour in the city.
“Despite tough times, I am always encouraged by the positivity and resilience of the people of this great city,” Governor Sakaja said.
The entrance of the hotel was secured by barriers on both sides and only authorized individuals, including customers and visitors with valid reasons to be there were permitted to enter.
The hotel that had been operational in Kenya for 53 years shut its doors on December 31, 2022.
Once removed, members of the public will have an easy time accessing the Kencom bus termi where the Public Service Vehicles there ply different routes.
