KIGALI, Rwanda, Sept 21 – More than 70 investors, business leaders and policymakers from 10 countries are exploring investment opportunities in Rwanda as part of the 2026 Rwanda Trade and Investment Roadshow organised by Equity.
The delegates held a business roundtable to discuss opportunities in agriculture, coffee, manufacturing, technology and other emerging sectors.
A coffee value chain panel focused on opportunities in value addition, skills development, processing and market access.
Kinunu Agro Processing Managing Director Michaelle Kubwimana said there were opportunities for collaboration with Equity, particularly in programmes supporting women and social-impact projects.
The roadshow also featured a Doing Business in Rwanda panel, which brought together government and private-sector representatives to discuss the country’s investment environment and business opportunities.
Rwanda Development Board Head of SEZAR and Export Facilitation Divine H. Nakanyange said investors seek information on opportunities, regulations, incentives and market access before setting up businesses.
“Company registration in Rwanda takes a maximum of six hours,” Nakanyange said, adding that the RDB provides support to investors during establishment and expansion.
Equity Bank Rwanda Commercial Director Eric Rutabana said the bank provides financial solutions to businesses and supports companies seeking to expand across regional markets.
Equity Group Associate Director for Trade Relations Mahvish Malik said the roadshows give businesses an opportunity to meet potential partners, government representatives and private-sector associations.
The delegates also visited Landy Industries, DIKAM Fashion, Rwanda Farmers Coffee Company (Gorilla’s Coffee) and Ampersand to assess opportunities in manufacturing, agriculture, coffee and electric mobility.
The roadshow is part of Equity’s trade missions aimed at connecting businesses and investors with markets and commercial opportunities across the region.
