NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 21- CapitalPay UK and the Kenya International Freight and Warehousing Association (KIFWA) have partnered to digitise payment and administrative processes for clearing and forwarding firms.
The agreement, signed in October 2025, is aimed at improving how KIFWA manages membership payments, levies and other charges paid by its members.
Under the arrangement, invoices are issued with unique payment references, allowing members to pay through approved channels including banks and mobile money. Payments can then be matched to the relevant member account and receipts generated.
The system is also designed to provide updated payment records and reports, reducing cases where payments cannot be easily linked to a member or specific charge.
KIFWA represents clearing and forwarding agents across the country, with its members varying in size and operating in different locations.
The partnership is part of wider efforts to digitise payment and administrative processes in Kenya’s logistics and freight industry.
