NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 21 – Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni says the Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta will not respond to political and personal attacks by some leaders in the current administration.
The embattled Jubilee SG speaking during the Capital in The Morning Show on Tuesday said that the former Head of State has chosen to remain silent even in the wake of tax evasion debate putting their family business empire on the spotlight.
The former Ndaragwa MP also explained that Kenyatta is keen on seeing the Kenya Kwanza government serve Kenyans and deliver on their campaign promises.
“If he was to become vocal he would be interfering with the management of the affairs of those in power today. He has his followers and If he was to move around agitating for an issue it would be destabilizing to the country,” Kioni stated.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over the weekend cautioned the former president against participating in the weekly people consultation forums organized by the ODM Leader Raila Odinga.
