President Ruto appoints UDA Elections Board chairman Mwaura as KRA Board Chairman

NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 18 – United Democratic Alliance (UDA) National Elections Board Chairman Anthony Mwaura has been appointed Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Board Chairman.

In a special gazette notice, the president appointed Mwaura for a 3-year period

Mwaura will replace Ambassador Francis Muthaura whose term was set to end in May 2023 after the former president Uhuru Kenyatta renewed his tenure for the second term mid-2020.

This means the new KRA boss will resign from his initial position as chair of UDA National Elections Board (NEB)

Through a gazette notice, president Ruto also appointed Hamisi Mashobo Mwaguya as the Chairperson of the board of Kenya Maritime Authority.

Mwaguya was a chief of staff in the county government of Mombasa and ran for Mombasa Senate seat on a UDA ticket .

Among other appointees are John Mutua Mruttu, who is the former governor of Taita Taveta, as the chairperson of the Agricultural Finance Corporation.

David Omusotsi appointed to chair the Kenya Utalii College board while James Dianga as the incoming chair of the Lake Basin Development Authority.

The president has also appointed Gen (RTD) Jackson Tuei to be the Chairperson of the Sports, Arts and Social Development Fund Oversight Board.
