NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 5 – Relatives of Lawrence Warunge, the main suspect in the 2021 Kiambaa family murders have petitioned Chief Justice Martha Koome to expedite the case after it failed to kick off a number of times.
Through their lawyers led by Ndindi Ng’anga, the family stated that seemingly endless delays have inflicted pain on their already grieving hearts.
“From the onset, we placed our trust in the judicial system to bring the perpetrator to justice swiftly,” they said.
“However, the numerous adjournments, procedural complications and delays in the legal proceedings have eroded our confidence in the system. Our family is unable to find closure and move forward with our lives.”
