Rescuers work at the accident site in Sichuan Province/XINHUACHENGDU, Mar 13 – Fifteen people were killed and six were injured after a bus overturned and fell into a deep ravine in Aba Tibetan-Qiang autonomous prefecture in southwest China’s Sichuan Province, local police said on Tuesday.
The accident happened around 12:30 pm on Tuesday. The bus, carrying 21 people, fell into a ravine located about 1 km away from a tunnel exit positioned on the side of Zhegu Mountain, police said.
All of the injured were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The bus departed from Chengdu and was on its way to Maerkang county in Sichuan when the accident occurred.
