NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 7 – The Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, has stated that the government is committed to providing job opportunities for healthcare providers graduates both in the country and abroad.
Speaking during the graduation of Kenya Medical Training Centre (KMTC) in Kasarani stadium Thursday he asserted that the high demand of healthcare providers, inside and outside the country, guarantees job opportunities for graduates.
“Already we have outstanding requests from the United Kingdom, from the republic of Germany, for health care providers, so I’m sure soon most of you will find their way to other countries, to go and work there and take care of the world,” the DP stated.
“Our health providers are desired in large numbers across the world.,” he added.
The 92ND KMTC graduation 2023, sees the graduation of 22,695 graduands, of which 870 have graduated with a higher diploma,12,917 Diplomas, and 8908 certificates.
The DP has further stated that the government will consider the issue of capacitation so that more students benefit from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) loan.
“As I engaged with your CEO and the board earlier, they have expressed their request and desire that we look into the issue of capitation, to be able to help more students through helb, and that is a request we are going to consider, of how we enhance the capacitation for this sector,” the DP stated.
